Yes, I am very grateful for this…this proves that these lives are connected to the universe…as long as we live in truth without separation, we are closer to the truth…the truth will come before us…this is what I see. Instead of waiting for someone to tell us how to do it, we need to give ourselves the value and shine forward, we need to go in a strong direction… then the best things will come to us… we are based on our faith and thoughts… we are the whole universe to get closer to reality. It happens…No matter how much suffering we suffer, when we bear suffering and find comfort in it, we will find supreme comfort.
may the power of the great merit unite to everyone who read this!!!

    Tashi Delek
Can you please resolve a question I have had for some years over a japamala which came to me from an old friend whose family is in direct service to His Holiness. My friend is a pious woman of intelligence and equanimity and this japamala she made for herself. It consists of four sections of rosewood beads of 16, and a center section of 44 rosewood beds, each section separated by a larger, soft yellow bead. I have long wondered why she chose these numbers and perhaps you can explain?
    Thank you very much,
    Shanti Taka

    Hello,
are you sure the calculator works properly? For example my mom is born on 18th of September 1964. This date should add up to 11, yet the calculator says she is number 2.

    Best regards,
    James

    • Pastor Elena Khong Jean Ai on Jan 27, 2020 at 12:23 pm

      Hi James,

Thank you for your comment. Just to be sure, I double checked your mum’s birth date using other calculators available online and they also return with the number 2.

      With care,
      Pastor Jean Ai

      • James on Mar 31, 2020 at 6:53 am

        Hello pastro Jean Ai,

thank You for a reply. If i count correctly, my mothers date should add up to 38 which then adds up to 11. And as a master number, should stay that way. Correct me if I’m wrong.

        Best regards,
        James.

        • Harry Thunborg on Apr 20, 2020 at 2:43 am

          it does add up to 2. 9/18 /1964. this is how you calculate it. 9+18=27.add 27 to 1964= 1991. 1+9+9+1=20. 2+0=2 . life path number is 2.

          • Lou on May 12, 2020 at 10:08 pm

If that is the way to calculate it then no one will be life path 33 until it adds up to 6999? couple of thousand years to go, no need for that life path on this site then.

    • Elizabeth on Jan 31, 2020 at 5:55 am

The number 11 is a master number and is not reduced to a single digit. At least not in the Pythagorean or Chaldean methods.

  29. Yee Yin on Oct 6, 2018 at 8:56 am

Do you know everyone has a lucky number? What is your lucky number? Our lives is very much associated with numbers, for example, our birth date, our identification number, tax number, house number and many more. Sometimes you will find a certain set of numbers keeps appearing, this is not a coincidence.

Each of us is actually born with a particular set of numbers that reveal our character, purpose, motivation, talents, and abilities in this life. Knowing what our numbers are we will be able to improve the way we interact with people and to face the challenges in our lives. The number might not fully reflect what we are, but it is a good guideline to start with to improve ourselves.

Similarly to other fortune telling methods, we cannot fully rely on the readings. If we believe in karma, we should know that we can still change the situation, the choice is in our hands. Don’t surrender to the destiny so easily, we are the master of our own lives.

Why don’t I have a Karmic Between number?

    • Pastor Shin on Feb 6, 2018 at 8:33 pm

      Hi ck,
There are 4 karmic debts numbers, which are 13, 14, 16 and 19, and if they show up in your chart (in your Life Path, Expression or Heart’s Desire Number), they represent certain lessons that you need to learn in this life; lessons which you have failed to learn in the past.

If you have no karmic debt numbers, some school of thoughts said that your lesson in this lifetime is to learn all lessons as they come up, and that you don’t have a specific karmic debt brought over to this life.

What happens when you change your name? Does your life change because of it? Or do you keep the name at birth as the indicator of your fortunes?

    • Pastor Niral Patel on Apr 20, 2017 at 11:01 am

      Dear Lorraine,

Thank you for your question, which raises a very good point. When a person changes their name, this does indeed affect our destiny. There is a reason we have a certain name, and this is how others both relate to and interact with us. Our names are a mild indicator of the ups and downs in life, and can form a general outline of what we will go through in life. Therefore when someone changes their name, this changes a person’s course in life. I hope this helps. Please do feel free to ask more questions.

It is quite insightful to have this numerology calculator, I do think there is some basis and foundation, theorem to develop this set of calculations. Numbers in this sense are used as an approximation of phenomena and reality.

Thank you to Rinpoche and the blog team for formulating this numerology calculator.

  45. Ron Wong on Nov 13, 2016 at 9:40 pm

It is amazing how our dates of birth & name can tell so much about our personality & inner selves that we don’t really recognised.

Taking into consideration the time factor is very logical indeed because our lives changes as we are different stages. Some of the advise given are surprisingly accurate & true but I still wondering how it actually work. Anyway, it is no harm to check it for some good advice whenever we need some guidance.

  46. Pastor KH Ng on Oct 29, 2016 at 11:50 pm

This Numerolgy Calculator is amazingly accurate as many has attested to. I tried it myself and wala…..I can’t believe what it told me; accurate in that it is true but I didn’t realise. So I learned a lot. And the advise given is great and logical.

Thank you to the hard working team to make it possible for us.

  48. Alice Tay on Oct 21, 2016 at 1:43 am

This Numerology is good to let us understand ourselves including know our own strength and weakness. We have to accept that no one is perfect but the things will get better if we make the change and improve our quality.

Thank you Rinpoche and the team for this interesting Numerology.

  49. JP on Oct 11, 2016 at 8:34 pm

Wow! This is so amazing! I clicked on the boxes to get my numbers and the results are so accurate! It’s rare to have such accurate numerology. Perhaps this is one of the ways to track our karma.

Good news is that with dharma, we can always change ourselves and rise above the karmic effects. We just need to learn and practice consistently. Thank you for the numerology calculator. It was a lot of fun.

  50. Lin Mun on Oct 11, 2016 at 8:24 pm

This is a very interesting blog and I appreciate the team’s effort in putting all the Numerology calculator together. Amazing to know that everyone is represented by a number or numbers.

I think Numerology is to help us understand ourselves. If we know our strength then better enhance it so it can benefit others, likewise if we know our weaknesses we should in fact accept it and improve from where we are now.

  51. Freon Tee on Oct 3, 2016 at 6:06 pm

After checking my number, i am actually quite shock to some comments in the number. Maybe i have either under estimate or over estimate myself. By understanding these number, it pushes me to get rid of some of the habits and attitude i have. My thought- if this life i do not try to get rid of it, the habits and attitude will continue until next life and what chances i have like this life to be in dharma and understand my weakness thus to improve myself.
To understand ourself through this calculator is a guideline for us why do things happened to us.

  52. Echeah on Oct 3, 2016 at 1:14 am

This is so fun! Some of it seem accurate but I don’t agree on some, but ok take it with a pinch of salt. Nice to know I was a tyrant in my previous lives! I’ve had so many countless lifetimes, I definitely must have been a tyrant some time or other!

  53. Julien Roth on Oct 2, 2016 at 6:05 pm

This was such a cool post to interact with! I love it! My number was 7 and after reading about my path number I actually think the information is quite accurate for me.

I tend to ponder a lot and think on my own. And I do that in many social situations too that is why I may seem anti-social and quiet. And the post said exactly that! Wow! I am actually impressed. I am not usually one to believe everything or anything I read, especially about topics like this. But this numerology topic seems to actually be accurate and quiet realistic.

  54. Mingwen on Oct 1, 2016 at 4:47 am

Amazing! Tremendously accurate about myself. Great advises, Thank you!

After checking all about myself, I’m feeling so little, “Why should we still hold on to those habbits or things that make us make us suffer so much?”

  55. Pastor Adeline Woon on Sep 30, 2016 at 10:33 am

I must say the content is very accurate and it helped me to understand how my mind works better. There are so much to learn, explore, understand, and I am amazed how much a number entails. Thank you to the team who worked hard to get this written, uploaded and made it available for all of us!

In order for us to excel in life, understanding who we really are is very important. In addition, if we make the efforts to understand others this way, I dare to say we will always be in the win-win situation, good things will come to us easily. The key to success is to understand ourselves and others for sure.

  56. Stella Cheang on Sep 30, 2016 at 10:18 am

This is truly impressive! Kudos to the team who brought this thoroughly well researched and state of the art article to us. I had never knew that there are so many “keys” to unlock the door to understand one’s personality. Human is indeed a complex creature. We have so many facets. To start off with, there are 16 life path categories that differentiate us. And then we have our achievement number, birthday number and karmic debt number that further tell of a part of our character. Combined with our full name, we will have expression number, heart desire number, personality number and balance number.

For me, this is like a fun new toy. I will cross reference my own personality from the different numbers, and also cross reference that of others. Sometimes I find the readings give conflicting idea of the same person. But I would like to take it as that giving ideas of a person (myself, for example) facet that I don’t see and know of. We are complex creature, I reckon it is common to have multiple characteristic. It is better to know than not to know.

    Thank you very much.

  57. Anne Ong on Sep 29, 2016 at 3:45 pm

  58. Sofi on Sep 28, 2016 at 10:22 pm

What an interesting article which I am sure everyone would be interested in. Learning of the self through numerology is quite ancient and I think it helps to general characterise us into certain categories of strong and weak traits. Since we are born into certain numbers, ie. date, month, year, these numbers focus quite prominently in our lifes. The Chinese Pat Chi (metaphysics) even take in to account the time of birth to offer a higher accuracy of our lives. The flying star method can even see into the events of our past & current lives as well as predict our future right down to the seconds. It is an amazing study and I have heard that a Taiwanese police Inspector who studied this used it in his crime busting. It must be working as he had a very high level of cases being solved.

Thank you Rinpoche for this entertaining article and wish everyone a fun time discovering yourself.

Different religions and faiths have unique teachings ,and thwew is no right or wrong. All have their respective views of divinity, humanity’s relationship with the divine . Many faiths share common principles, like compassion and ethical conduct. All religions in the world teach us empathy, compassion, harmony and respect.
Love peace harmony kindness balance of mind health body and spirit. Respect for all things. That’s true religion. They differ in practices and methods, but they ultimately lead to the same goal.
Thank you Rinpoche interesting topic shared.

Thank you H E Tsem Rinpoche and Pastor Seng Piow for creating this YouTube channel which has benefited many people all over the world. Great idea indeed where we learn , from the Dharma sharing. Pastor Seng Piow first started Rinpoche YouTube channel years ago back 2006. A very powerful Dharma talk and sharing by Tsem Rinpoche that covers a wide range of topics, and with Rinpoche explanation we could understand better. Kechara blog team has compiled a collection of videos, for us . It did help me to understand and learn more of Dharma through those videos. More to learn for me . Merely by listening to Rinpoche voice is a blessing.
    Thanks again with folded hands……

Sonam Tsemo, an important Tibetan sprititual leader and Buddhist scholar, and was acclaimed as an incarnation of Durjayachandra. He received extensive spiritual training from his father, deepened his studies under the famous scholar Chapa Chokyi Senge. By the time he was eighteen he had mastered the triple discipline of teaching, debate and composition. After his return to Sakya, he held the throne of the monastery for three years. He is the author of a famous commentary on the Bodhicharyavatara. He dedicated the rest of his life to studies and meditation. In 1182 he passed away age 41 into pure land of Sukhavati and said to have attained full Buddhahood.

A very clear explanation of Vajrayogini by Rinpoche . Reading and listening to the video in this blog explains well. Vajrayogini’s power is her ability to guide practitioners to enlightenment by transforming ordinary experiences, desire, and the ego into spiritual paths. Her form symbolizes the transformation of desire and ego into boundless empathy for all beings. Her practice aims to eradicate the ego, a root cause of suffering and attachment. In return which lead to a more vibrant, kind, and compassionate us.
    Thank you Rinpoche .

In Buddhism, holy relics are the sacred preserved cremated remains of the Buddha, and other enlightened beings. Holy relics are believed to carry the spiritual qualities, compassion, and wisdom of the enlightened being. And it serve as a powerful tool to connect practitioners with the Buddha’s path to enlightenment. Throughout history, relics have played an important role in major world religions and are considered to hold great spiritual significance. They are revered in Buddhist communities around the world. Sadly to these days only a handful of these sites exist today. These holy relic sites are rare. Many Buddhists make it a point to visit these precious relic sites . Merely by touching, seeing, and even thinking about relics can connect anyone with the spiritual power of the Buddha. Each relic is believed to carry a part of the Buddha’s essence, and worshipping them is seen as a way to connect with the Buddha’s wisdom and compassion. These sacred objects, often including bones, hair, robes, and so on are venerated through offerings and prayers, allowing Buddhists to connect with the Buddha’s wisdom and compassion and accumulate merit. Wow China had many holy sites which housed various relics of Buddha Shakyamuni. Just to mentioned some of these holy sites in Chiana such as Tooth relic at Lingguang Temple, Beijing,Grand True Relic Pagoda at Famen Temple, Shaanxi, Rare skull relic enshrined in Foding Palace, Nanjing and Buddha’s bone relic at Ayuwang Temple, Ningbo. Looking the beautiful relics temple and reading this article is a blessing. More so if we go on pilgrimages to these holy sites.
Thank you Rinpoche for this wonderful sharing.

It was through the 6th Panglung Oracle the Dalai Lama had a safe and successful escape from Tibet to India. That’s in 1959, following Dorje Shugden advice and instructions which route to escape. This story in comics form is a great way to let more people know the truth. Senior officials from Monastery eyewitness affidavits signed, they were the monks who travelled together with the Dalai Lama. All these cannot be wrong .A truth and only truth to be shared with.

Believing that the paranormal can be real, is one way to escape the reality we live in and make it a little more interesting. People sometimes want to believe something more is out there than only a platonic routine life. Not everyone believes in ghosts, but there have been plenty of celebrity ghost sightings over the years. Most scientists deny that ghosts exist, but I do believe ghost rather spirits do exist . Ghosts are ingrained in many cultures, with people rising from the dead or being able to communicate from the beyond. The human fascination for the unexplained plays a big role in this world.
Thank you Rinpoche for sharing such an interesting videos. Sound scary. Doing prayers and dedicated to them will be fine as long as we don’t’ get involved with them.

Opening Eye Chenrezigis a Buddhist practice and form of Chenrezig focused on healing physical eye problems and developing wisdom eyes. The practice involves prayers and mantras to develop compassion and it was transmitted by Lama Gangchen Rinpoche . This practice is designed to train one’s mind in making life beneficial for all sentient beings through the yoga of the Compassionate Buddha. Well this practice has been effective for those who sincerely had engaged in reciting the mantra consistently.
Thank you Rinpoche for sharing methods to heal the defects, problems, and disturbances to our eyes.

Helmut Gassner, is a senior Buddhist monk from Austria also known as Venerable Gelong Jampa. After meeting Venerable Geshe Rabten Rinpoche back then ,his began to have an interest in Buddhism . Venerable Geshe Rabten Rinpoche had impressed him deeply so much so he began studying Tibetan language, Buddhist philosophy, debate and meditation. Throughout his lifetime, he has translated for many high lamas. He translated for HH the 14th Dalai Lama between 1979 and 1995. Helmut Gassner has recognized and value the knowledge of Dorje Shugden . He noticed the positive qualities, acknowledging Dorje Shugden’s significance, and developing a comprehensive, insightful of it. He even received many first-hand accounts of how Dorje Shugden has been extremely useful to the Dalai Lama. Following the Dalai Lama’s move to ban the practice of Dorje Shugden where discrimination and fights happened. The event didn’t bothered him much as he knew the truth that the practice of Dorje Shugden is an integral part of the Gaden Tradition. In 1999 at the Friedrich-Naumann-Foundation in Hamburg, Germany, he bravely spoke the truth regarding Dorje Shugden. His devotion to his teacher, the dharma and the truth compelled him to speak up . Interesting read.
Thank you Rinpoche for this great sharing .

The Unknown

The Known and unknown are both feared,
Known is being comfortable and stagnant,
The unknown may be growth and opportunities,
One shall never know if one fears the unknown more than the known.
Who says the unknown would be worse than the known?
But then again, the unknown is sometimes worse than the known. In the end nothing is known unless we endeavour,
So go pursue all the way with the unknown,
because all unknown with familiarity becomes the known.
~Tsem Rinpoche

Find one of the most beautiful temples in the world in Nara, Japan. It is the 1,267 year old Todai-ji temple that houses a 15 meter Buddha Vairocana statue who is a cosmic and timeless Buddha. Emperor Shomu who sponsored this beautiful temple eventually abdicated and ordained as a Buddhist monk. Very interesting history and story. One of the places everyone should visit- https://bit.ly/2VgsHhK

What the meat industry figured out is that you don't need healthy animals to make a profit.
Sick animals are more profitable... farms calculate how close to death they can keep animals without killing them. That's the business model. How quickly they can be made to grow, how tightly they can be packed, how much or how little can they eat, how sick they can get without dying... We live in a world in which it's conventional to treat an animal like a block of wood. ~ Jonathan Safran Foer
