Ascendants of the Pig
The ascendants below are related to the Chinese Lunar Sign of the Pig. Each period of time during the day corresponds to a different Chinese horoscope. So, although it is the Pig’s individual choice on which path he will take in life, there may perhaps be other “inner voices” which will influence him. These “inner voices”, “other self” or “inner struggle” comes from their conflicting ascendants.
11PM – 1AM: The Rat Hours
With a mix of the Rat in this Pig, you will be tough and astute, giving you the edge to be able to make better investment decisions and judgments that will not leave you being exploited or cheated without any support. You will maintain the same characteristics in caring for, pampering and having strong and loving devotion to the family in addition to your incredibly generous nature. Like the Pig, the Rat is just as sociable, therefore complementing one another, but the Rat enhances the prudence in you whilst you still maintain your light-hearted trait.
1AM – 3AM: The Ox Hours
The Ox ascendant emphasizes the practicality and realistic side of the Pig but also increases your temper and habits. Life is taken much more seriously, and your forthright trait tones down as compared to other Pigs. You remain reliable, hard-working and determined, but the Ox ascendant makes sure that you are not distracted, especially by sensuality or commitments that are hard to fulfill due to generosity. The Ox lends you the traits of being more self-controlled, strong-willed, and a believer within your own capacity.
3AM – 5AM: The Tiger Hours
You stand out with your good-natured, less cautious and organizing skills. The ascendant of the Tiger makes you more athletic, but also amplifies the lust and desire that is inherent within you. You rely on the advice given from someone you trust; who is able to assist you in evaluating your priorities and problems, as both the Tiger ascendant and the Pig make decisions based on emotion. You tend to also be easily influenced by others. All undertakings will be done whole-heartedly, and you are eloquent in your speech and in entertaining others.
5AM – 7AM: The Rabbit Hours
The ascendant in the Rabbit sign gives the Pig a meditative, calm and discreet vibe. You are more perceptive and affable but also lack the liking to shoulder more responsibilities and burdens. You are more aware but still easily trust others and are obliging. The Pig is evident in you as you enjoy partying, but you tend to stay tactful, meticulous, spontaneous, cautious and practical.
7AM – 9AM: The Dragon Hours
The Dragon and Pig are strong signs, and your determination, devotion, strength and ambition is highlighted with the Dragon as your ascendant. You are more likely to take risks, and do things on a greater scale, and with the Pig’s optimistic and enthusiastic nature, you risk being too extreme and distracted if there is no proper guidance from others. However, if you have beneficial advisors and proper guidance, success is guaranteed. The Pig with the ascendant of the Dragon will not lack supporters with the causes and projects that you want to undertake.
9AM-11AM: The Snake Hours
The Pig with the Snake as an ascendant is more intuitive, meditative, and unlike the innate energy-filled Pig, the Snake presents a more calming front. You have a lot of self-confidence and are more possessive. The Snake brings intellect and stability to the Pig when aiming to achieve goals, but you may be lonelier and more independent. You are not as uptight with principles and integrity, and may even pursue individual goals without much guilt.
11AM-1PM: The Horse Hours
The ascendant in the Horse sign gives boldness and courage to the Pig, to accomplish things that are imaginative and adventurous. The Horse brings the Pig a new twist, in that you become slightly more self-centered to achieve things not only for other people but putting your personal priority, gains and achievements first. It is not that you totally shun your naivety, kindness and generosity, but the decisive and sociable you will include your needs in the picture as well, and the Horse will show you the way.
1PM-3PM: The Sheep Hours
The main traits of the Pig stand out even with the Sheep being an ascendant. Generosity, kindness, and amiability are some to name whilst you continue to be well liked through the confidence and trust you impart on others. You are still not free from being exploited by others but that doesn’t deter you from being big-hearted or being a hard worker. With the combination of a Sheep and Pig, you are also able to pacify your aggressive and desirous state with social responsibilities as you sympathize with those who are less fortunate than yourself. Maintaining honest and sincere relationships with others especially those you love is easily done, through your personal dignity and composure.
3PM-5PM: The Monkey Hours
The Pig is energetic and resourceful, but the Monkey brings in some waywardness in you through crafty, devious thoughts and actions. If you are easily exploited, having the ascendant of a Monkey will minimize the occurrence and likelihood of your being cheated or taken for granted. You can clearly and easily distinguish between those who are nice, friendly and kind to you and those who want to only take advantage of you. In addition, you are also able to hold your ground, inspiring and getting people onto your side through your sociable ways and creativity. You are quick-witted and can turn compromising situations around to benefit you instead.
5PM-7PM: The Rooster Hours
Lively, active and meticulous, the ascendant in the Rooster sign brings about more opinions in your everyday thoughts and actions, whilst conforming to a heretical but diligent approach to things no matter what it relates to. What you undertake is generally motivated by goodwill and when you listen to other’s problems, you have a knack in giving great advices. You maintain your qualities even in circumstances derived from volunteering and benefiting others. The Rooster in you sometimes does not see the value or look long term into certain activities that you undertake whilst your innate self that arises from the Pig usually compares with others and you under-estimate what you are actually capable of. You think that others are more gifted and competent as compared to yourself and you place less emphasis and significance on yourself. It will be a fantastic match if you are able to be more resourceful and less competitive, so that the abundant qualities of the Pig shine through. You also like to encourage teamwork.
7PM-9PM: The Dog Hours
You are more skeptical and have better judgment, through the Dog being your ascendant. Your aesthetic needs may be suppressed, whilst practicality and logic come forth more evidently. The Pig is renowned for its tolerant and understanding nature but coupled with the sign of the Dog, your pardoning and amiable nature declines. You do not handle cheating and sneakiness as well although your core personal strength, faithfulness and dependability remains. You are giving still, but you have more prejudice and awareness when dealing with others. You get what you have to do done without complaints or hesitation, and you are very much favoured within your peers as they commonly approach you for advice due to your selflessness and better judgment coming from the Dog. You are bothered by social, political, racial and religious injustice therefore you strive to benefit the lives of others through partaking in noble causes.
9PM-11PM: The Pig Hours
The traits of the Pig are very much evident when you have the same ascendant sign as your birth sign. You will undergo the journeys of life and its problems, but when you come out of it, you will be like a brightly shining star. You have no ulterior motive in helping others, and more often than not, you supress your own needs, admirable characteristics and shun the limelight, to attend to the needs and fulfill the wishes of others. You often place yourself secondary albeit your boisterous and sociable nature. Your greatest challenge is to find yourself, and to get to know the true person you really are. Your giving nature and unpretentiousness is commendable and you are truly satisfied when you are able to use your life to benefit others.
